A collector of memories and stories, Israeli musician Hen Yanni transmutes the past into lyrical mosaics of love, yearning, and devotion. Inspired by the aesthetic of the nineties, her music traverses genres ranging from new wave to indie rock, with an undercurrent of electronic music. Her musical influences include The Velvet Underground, Depeche Mode, and Tom Yorke, as well as the Israeli techno scene with artists such as Red Axes, Middle Sky Boom, Mita Gami, and Autarkic.
Her upcoming debut EP is a musical diary - a deeply-personal collection of memories that seeks to establish a dialogue with the past while speaking to her future self. Produced by the legendary French producer Arnaud Rebotini, the EP is an enchanting experience full of raw emotion and poetic portraits. The project is released on the label Animal63, anticipating a forthcoming debut album.
