Jean-Baptiste de Laubier, aka Para One, is a boundary-pushing artist whose work spans music production, film scoring, and directing. He began as a hip hop producer before founding the electronic label Marble and releasing acclaimed solo albums like Epiphanie, Passion, and Club. Known for his collaborations with Birdy Nam Nam and Meryem Aboulouafa, he’s also a celebrated film composer—scoring several of Céline Sciamma’s films, including Portrait of a Lady on Fire, which won Best Screenplay at Cannes and earned 11 César nominations. His latest album, Machines of Loving Grace, doubles as the soundtrack to his debut feature film, Sanity, Madness and The Family.
